This course is designed for those with no prior knowledge of the language. You will learn basic survival Finnish, focusing on everyday workplace communication, common greetings, and the essential vocabulary needed for simple daily interactions. By the end of this level, you will be able to introduce yourself and handle basic routines in a Finnish working environment.

  • Schedule: 8 weeks | 2 evenings per week (e.g., Tue & Thu, 17:00–19:30).

  • Total Hours: 40 hours.

  • Enrolment Cost: €180 – €220 (includes digital study materials).

  • Next Intake: September / January / May.

Building on your basic skills, this module focuses on more detailed communication in professional and social situations. You will learn to describe your work tasks, handle more complex instructions, and participate in brief conversations about familiar topics. This level is a key step toward the YKI-test and more independent integration into the local labor market.

  • Schedule: 10 weeks | 2 evenings per week (e.g., Mon & Wed, 17:30–20:00).

  • Total Hours: 50 hours.

  • Enrolment Cost: €240 – €280 (includes specialized vocational terminology handouts).

  • Next Intake: Rolling enrollment throughout the semester.

This introductory course provides a foundation in Finland’s second official language, focusing on practical vocational use. You will acquire basic vocabulary and phrases for professional settings, enabling you to understand simple written and spoken Swedish. It is ideal for those looking to expand their employability across the diverse bilingual regions of Southern Finland.

  • Schedule: 6 weeks | Intensive (e.g., Saturdays, 10:00–14:00).

  • Total Hours: 24 hours.
