The Institute of Southern Finland offers 3–4 month fast-track training modules tailored to current workforce needs. From hospitality and maintenance to ICT and Digital Marketing, our courses focus on ‘Working Life’ (Työelämä) skills and practical placement, providing a direct pathway for newcomers to enter their chosen profession.

This program is tailored for immigrants with a background or interest in marketing who want to adapt their expertise to the Finnish business landscape. Participants will learn how to navigate the local digital economy, understand the Finnish consumer mindset, and master the tools used by Finnish agencies. It is a strategic path for professionals looking to secure specialist roles in a competitive market.

  • Focus: SEO/SEM, local social media strategy, email marketing and Finnish market analytics.

  • Schedule: 3 months theory/projects + 1 month mandatory company internship.

  • Enrolment Cost: €450 – €600.

Designed to help technically-minded immigrants enter the Finnish IT sector, this course focuses on the "Service Desk" and security roles that are in high demand across Southern Finland. The training translates international technical knowledge into the Finnish corporate context, emphasizing local standards for data privacy (GDPR) and professional communication with Finnish clients.

  • Focus: IT helpdesk support, cloud basics, and Finnish corporate IT security standards.

  • Schedule: 3 months technical labs + 1 month mandatory company internship.

Created for newcomers looking to start a career in Finland’s vibrant food and beverage industry, this training focuses on the essential skills needed for kitchen and front-of-house roles. The program bridges cultural gaps in service etiquette and ensures all participants are legally qualified to work in Finnish food environments by including mandatory certifications required by local law.

  • Focus: Kitchen assistant duties, customer service, and obtaining the Hygiene & Alcohol Passports.

  • Schedule: 2 months intensive training + 1 month mandatory company internship.

  • Enrolment Cost: €300 – €400 (Includes passport exam fees).

This course is specifically designed for immigrants to gain the practical skills required to enter the stable and growing Finnish maintenance sector. It provides a comprehensive foundation in professional cleaning methods, chemical safety, and ergonomic work practices. Students will learn the high standards of hygiene expected in Finnish offices, hospitals, and residential buildings, ensuring they are ready to meet the demands of local employers.

  • Schedule: 2 months classroom training + 1 month mandatory company internship.
